Outreach Team (20)
Would you like to volunteer for DOCUTAH and complete all your volunteer hours BEFORE the festival? Join our Outreach Team and work with local merchants and community organizations to get the word out.
One of the most crucial elements to producing the DOCUTAH festival will be projecting the films, the Q&A sessions and the educational program. Under the direction of Michael Durrant, the IT Wiz Team members will support paid technical staff in projection and other festival duties.
This is a great opportunity for those interested in hands on experience with high-quality projection equipment. Tech training for projection and microphone equipment will take about a half hour.
Thanks to the hard work and keen shopping skills of our DOCUTAH fashion maven, Christina Schultz, this year’s festival will be fully stocked with some VERY cool items for festival patrons to purchase. Among them will be a limited edition of award-winning designer tote bags, as well as branded T-shirts, caps and other fun stuff. Team members will prepare, stock and sell festival merchandize and provide guests and patrons with festival information and local directions.
DOCUTAH's Opening Night Gala and Screening under the stars at Tuacahn Amphitheater, a 1900-seat outdoor amphitheater surrounded by a magnificent red rock canyon. Details on volunteer responsibilities and schedules will be posted in August 2010.
The Dixie State Screenings Team will manage ticket lines and act as ushers for screenings, give directions and answer questions on the college campus for patrons who are attending DOCUTAH, Southern Utah's International Documentary Film Festival. Shifts are 4 - 6 hours long.
The Electric Theater located in the heart of old downtown St. George is also a screening venue for the Festival.
DOCUTAH volunteers at these venues will help prepare theaters, manage ticket lines and seat festival patrons.
Thank you for registering to volunteer at our special outdoor screening at Best Friends Animal Society's Angel's Landing natural amphitheater. The site is a huge dome-shaped cave of red sandstone at the heart of Angel Canyon. Prepared to be inspired by DOCUTAH's documentary screening under the stars and your visit to the 33,000-acre ranch in the majestic red rock country of southern Utah.
